Who needs recreational drugs when you have Big Fish? or Lynch or Burton?
I'm so tired of directors who do films that are weird for the sake of weird. Tim Burton seems to delve into the world of David Lynch with this one. A world where the bizarre is mistaken for deep intellectual statements to young moviegoers. As Clint Eastwood said in The Outlaw Josey Wales..."Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining."
I like Albert Finney, but he seems to just walk through this part. The lack of enthusiasm when telling his tall tales made me not care.
A modern day Wizard of Oz...please, that's a real stretch.
In my opinion, miss this one don't encourage Tim Burton to make more movies like this one.
I gave this movie a rating of 1 stars.
